Introducing "Superpowers at Work" Podcast Series: Transforming Workplace Cultures into People Cultures
Siero Media is thrilled to announce the launch of its brand new podcast series, "Superpowers at Work." The show will revolutionize the way we perceive and experience the workplace, and highlights the importance of creating a people-centric environment for great employee engagement, retention and recruitment.
In today's fast-paced corporate world, where time is money and productivity is paramount, the human element of work often takes a backseat. "Superpowers at Work," hosted by Sissy Siero, aims to change that narrative. With a mission to make the workplace a better place for humans, this podcast series dives deep into the crucial conversations and transformations needed to ensure a more people-focused approach in business.
The first series guest, Dr. Andrea Hollingsworth, psychotherapist and expert on compassionate leadership, highlights the profound impact of such an approach.
“Eighty-seven percent of employees say mutual empathy between leaders and employees increases innovation and creativity and efficiency in the workplace. So it just creates this environment where people wanna stay, they feel good.”
We also learn from the brilliant Katharine Manning, author of “The Empathetic Workplace” who unpacks how trauma in the workplace affects us all and how psychological safety is essential. “When you have a fair and transparent process, that’s where you create a sense of psychological safety and psychological safety is associated with pretty much every positive workplace outcome you can imagine,” Manning says.
The podcast brings together a diverse range of perspectives, including those of Arquella Hargrove, HR strategist and speaker, who adds, "We are having those conversations to make those shifts where it is people-centric or people-focused."
Hargrove poses the question: “How can we make a difference in the culture for people to really show up and thrive?” She emphasizes that a central part of exploring that question is “Really leaning into that curiosity and being open to the different ideas and exploring what are those options? How can we make a difference going forward?” says Hargrove.
By focusing on creating environments where individuals feel valued, heard, and trusted, organizations can unlock their full potential. This podcast is a testament to Siero Media's commitment to driving positive change in workplace cultures around the world. "Superpowers at Work" underscores a fundamental truth: Businesses thrive when their employees thrive.
"Superpowers at Work" invites listeners to join the journey of transforming work cultures into people cultures. Through engaging discussions, insightful interviews, and practical advice, this series will equip both employees and employers with the tools they need to foster a more human-centered workplace and reflect on how to create spaces of psychological safety, belonging, and inclusion.
The new show tackles complex and nuanced topics such as LGBTQIA+ identities, inclusive language, access for individuals with both apparent and non-apparent disabilities in the workplace.
“The key is to really hear what the employees have to say and then from there, that’s gonna drive what needs to happen next,” says Hargrove. That’s exactly what “Superpowers at Work” will do: Listen to employees, experts and leaders across topics that impact us at work each day.
Siero Media Creative Director, Kristi Alexander further explains, “After interviewing more than a thousand employees across the globe–from C-suite leaders to plant floor workers–we have a finger on the pulse of what is working and what is not in the modern corporate environment. It is so exciting to get to bring these issues and stories to the mainstream. By providing a safe space for workers, leaders, and experts to have these conversations, we are aiming to create a healthier, more equitable work culture for everyone.”
And in the words of Sissy Siero, host and founder & CEO of Siero Media,
“It’s my mission to bring the power of love and respect to help make the workplace a good place for humans. That’s why I created this show,”
We hope you’ll join us on this journey to learn, grow, reflect, and engage. The podcast is now available for streaming and download on popular podcast platforms, including Spotify, APPLE, YouTube, and Amazon Music.
